It means that many new quality requirements on them have raisen. Extended ISO/IEC 9126 quality model is chosen for evaluation of some quality sub-characteristics of the chosen Internet based GIS solution. End-user response time and presence or absence of security measurements belong to the metrics used for evaluation of the software quality. Influence of selected security measurements on end-user response time was studied on the case of University of Minnesota MapServer.
