This course will answer these questions and more. You will learn about the role and impact of new technology in the business environment. You will explore the process of digitalization and how it transforms the way businesses and public administration operate.
You will discover the concept of agile digital mindset and how it enables individuals and organizations to tackle complex challenges with creativity, flexibility, and a focus on continuous improvement.
The course is designed as a blended intensive programme that combines online and offline learning activities. The goal of the course is to help you make informed and qualified decisions about digitalization by selecting appropriate technology.
By the end of the course, you will be able to: Identify and evaluate the opportunities and challenges that new technology offers to businesses and society, apply the concept of agile digital mindset to your own personal and professional development.

WHO IS DIGI FOR?

Undergraduate and postgraduate students who want to get into the secrets of the digital world of companies and public administration interactively!

WHAT STUDENTS WILL LEARN?

What are the new technologies being used to increase business and public administration efficiency, (e.g. increase turnover, speed up delivery, customer service, company staffing, new product creation, manufacturing process improvements, etc.), how to develop Agile Digital Mindset, and how to decide, which technology is the best for their organization.

WHAT THE STUDENTS SHOULD BRING TO THE CLASS?

Basic understanding of any organization (company or NGO), for which the digitalization strategy will be formulated. The choice of the organization is entirely up to each student.

DIGI 2025 TAKEWAYS

BIP DIGI aims to experience the process of setting digitalisation strategy in the testing environment without real-life consequences. By formulating and presenting their digitalization strategy, students can prepare for their managerial and entrepreneurial roles.

HOW DOES DIGI WORK?

5 days face-to-face and online interaction between instructors and participants.
8 hours classroom work and teamwork on the University of Pardubice campus solving tasks.
Online sessions with the possibility to discuss and to develop the project.
Virtual session to present the project to other participants and instructors.

WHEN WILL IT TAKE PLACE?

Face-to-face sessions will happen 12. 5. - 16. 5. 2025 in Pardubice.
Online sessions two times per week for two weeks after the mobility, 19. 5. - 30. 5. 2025.
Presentation of student work for credit in the last week of the virtual part, 2. 6. - 6. 6. 2025.

Do students need to pay any fees?
No. Students will not be required to pay fees to enrol.
How can I apply?
Students can apply by completing the application form on the website fes.upce.cz/en and students have to submit the applications for Erasmus+ mobility at their home university.
Where will I find accommodation in Pardubice?
No need to look for accommodation, we have already booked a room for you at the TRIM hotel near the campus!
How can I pay for my stay during the physical part in Pardubice?
All students receive financial support from their home University through an Erasmus+ grant, so you don't have to worry about not being able to financially manage a week's stay in the Czech Republic.
