Economics and Management: International Management and Sustainability

What knowledge will you master?
You will understand the issues of international management, sustainability and environmental performance of the company, the issues of managerial decision-making, including the development of communication and argumentation skills in a multinational environment. You will be able to work with data in the Czech and international environment, analyse it and draw conclusions for further decision-making. You will learn how to develop and project tasks in the areas of management, economics, accounting and financial management, as well as marketing and responsible sustainable business.
What kind of career is waiting for you?
After graduation, you will be able to work as an analyst and manager in manufacturing companies, non-profit organizations, consulting and advisory firms in the country and abroad, service companies, business organizations and other non-financial institutions, with a high level of responsibility for their smooth functioning and compliance with the principles of sustainable development. You will be able to make independent decisions based on professional analyses using adequate and exact methods.

Final State Examination:
The final exam will be held at your home institution with an online link to the UPCE lecturers. You will defend your thesis in German. An abstract in English (2-3 pages) will be required for committee members on the Czech side. Members of the UPCE committee will ask the student several questions related to the content of his/her master's thesis according to the topics of the Final State Examination (a list of these questions will be provided to the student well in advance of the defense). Graduates will hand over their Czech diploma at the Official Ceremony in Pardubice or pick it up in person at the study department of the Faculty of Economics and Administration.
