Pardubice is an easy place to be active. On and around the campus there are chances to exercise, learn a new sport, or simply enjoy a few hours away from your studies. On campus is a modern indoor sports hall which includes a workout gym and wood-floor and rubber-coated floors for various courts. A range of sports and fitness workouts happen there. Outside the hall are outdoor tennis courts and a boat house. The city has an olympic-sized indoor swimming pool, two outdoor swimming pools, an ice hockey rink, a water park, extensive cycling paths and more.
Professional sports
The city is home to a professional hockey team and a basketball team. Other notable events in the city are the Czech Open, Europe's largest chess tournament, and Velká Pardubice a world-famous steeplechase.
