Studies at the Faculty of Economics and Administration are designed in conformity to the Bologna declaration and the trends of the University Education System around the world, this means in a structured form. The three-year Bachelor´s study programme is followed up by the two-year Master´s study programme. Top graduates of the Master study programme can enlarge their knowledge in the Doctoral study programmes that are also offered at the University of Pardubice.

The study programme is built upon two fundamental scientific fields: “Public Economics” and “Regional Economics”. The doctoral study programme reflects the needs of the European economic region. At the same time it puts the accent on the dynamic development of information and communication technologies applied in the management of regional development. The study programme is oriented towards the issues of the economic efficiency of individual entities operating within a region, as well as the issues of the economic efficiency of a region as a whole. The doctoral study programme complies with the scientific and research goals of the Faculty focusing on the analysis and modelling of regions and their information interconnection.

The PhD study programme is focused on mastering the scientific methods of research and system development based on the use of information technology for data collection, transmission, storage and processing of information and knowledge. Following issues are reflected within the framework of this study programme: design, implementation, evaluation, use and maintenance of systems, which are based on computer application in various information domains. It includes computer equipment, software, organizational and human aspects, industrial and commercial applications.
Emphasis is placed on creative application of informatics methods and tools for solving various problems of real world.

The objective of the study specialization is the education of qualified experts for a wide range of positions in economics and administration, whereby such experts should be able to propose, implement, professionally develop and apply information and communication technologies and to use computer-supported methods in decision making processes. The study course comprises educational activities organized by three Faculties (The Faculty of Economics and Administration of the University of Pardubice, the Faculty of Economics of the Technical University of Liberec, and the Faculty of Management and Information Technology of the University of Hradec Králové). The programme has not been conceived as a parallel course of study, given at the participating faculties, but as a common course of study that depends upon counts on both student and lecturer mobility. All three faculties are equipped with modern information infrastructures, which markedly improves mutual communication.
