Specialization Business Informatics
The International Business Management study program is implemented by FEA UPCE and in future is planned to be expansed into specializations realized in cooperation with foreign partners. The goal of this study program is to educate highly qualified experts in the field of international management and business. Graduates will have knowledge of key managerial, economic and IT disciplines, which will have overlaps in the area of change, ethics, innovation, sustainability, but also social and management factors (ESG). In order to cope with the constantly changing and developing world, business and society, it is necessary for graduates to have knowledge of ICT tools that allow processing big data, manage and analyze processes and projects, and use other modern tools to support top management decisions. The study program offers graduates the synergistic effect of connecting business, economic and managerial knowledge and skills with an emphasis on efficiency and sustainability.
The goal of the study program is to provide graduates with systematic knowledge in the field of business, management, change and innovation management, advanced tools for managing and analyzing business processes and projects so that they are prepared to be top managers in various types of businesses and organizations.
Applicants are expected to have a bachelor's degree in economics or technology. The student can supplement the necessary knowledge by studying elective courses offered by the home university as well as the partner university.
The goal of the specialization Business Informatics is to equipe students with the fundamental knowledge of IT in business administration with the focus on system thinking, system engineering, project management and data analytics.
The profile of the graduate is processed in accordance with the National Descriptors of the Czech Tertiary Education Qualification Framework using the recommendations of the IPN National Qualification Framework of Tertiary Education (Q-RAM).
It includes the key knowledge, skills and also the general competence of the graduate.
A graduate of the master's study program demonstrates broad knowledge of:
- selected financial and economic concepts and contexts;
- the concept of innovation and its determinants;
- different ways of financing sustainable innovation activities;
- the potential and limitations of big data analysis.
A graduate of the master's study program will be able to:
- evaluate the performance and financial situation of businesses through ITC applications;
- critically evaluate the conceptual frameworks needed to assess current issues in finance and data analysis;
- perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of economic data;
- use information technology and software support for organizational, presentation and analytical work.
A graduate of the master's study program is able to:
- solve the problems in an unknown and rapidly changing environment with massive data availability and producing original research;
- conducting original research in a business environment;
- be innovative in a sustainable environment;
- demonstrate leadership skills and coordinate the work of a team of colleagues;
- make independent and responsible decisions in the context of sustainability at the level of middle and senior management of financial institutions and other companies;
- in a comprehensible and persuasive way, convey to experts and laypeople information about the nature of professional problems and one's own opinion on their solution;
- consideration of the ethical dimension of professional problems when solving them;
- independently acquire additional professional knowledge, skills and competences.

- Students without nostrification issued by the CZ institution (UNI) will pay the cost of CZK 600,- for verification done by the University of Pardubice only for admission to the University of Pardubice purposes. This fee is also non-refundable.

Acceptance Requirements
1. Applicant must pass the entrance examination in Informatics and English language (based on a Bachelor study curriculum).
2. Submit nostrification or request verification of your bachelor's degree by the Faculty of Economics and Administration.
3. The applicant is required to pay the tuition fees during the time period specified above.
Entrance Examination will be held in from June 2 to June 6, 2025
The link for the entrance examination tests will be sent via email to each applicant on the pre-arranged day. The applicant is given a certain amount of time to answer the questions. The questionnaire will be closed at the end of the specified time period and it will no longer be possible to enter your answers.
Entrance Examination Evaluation
The entrance examination is a written exam and it is in the form of a test. The applicant will receive a link to the website with the test on a pre-agreed date. In the event the applicant answers the question correctly, they obtain a full score for that particular question. In the event the applicant does not know the correct answer, they are allowed to give up the right to answer the question, therefore the score will be 0.
Each entrance examination test will be evaluated with the following score:
- Informatics: from 0 points up to 100 points
- English language: from 0 points up to 100 points
The final score of the entrance examination is the total of all acquired points (max. 200 points). Applicants with less than 70 points in any subject were unsuccessful. Applicants with at least 70 points in each subject can become a student of the Faculty of Economics and Administration of the University of Pardubice after handling all necessary formalities.
Taking Decisions on Acceptance, by the June 13, 2025
At most, a total of 40 applicants will be accepted in to the full time study programme based on their overall ranking.
Due to the low number of applicants, the Dean may decide not to open the study programme.
Notice of Acceptance
The results of the admission procedure will be published on the University of Pardubice website. The Dean's Admission Letter will be ready to be picked up or posted the same day (CZ post or another forwarder).
Review Proceedings
According to the § 50, par. 7 of the law no. 111/1998 Col., on universities and the change and completion of other laws (Law on Universitites) as amended by the subsequent regulation, the applicant who has not been accepted or his/her authorized representative may apply for a review of the resolution within 15 days from the delivery day of the resolution, which should be sent to the attention of the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administration University of Pardubice.
Payment of Tuition Fee
The tuition fee is set at CZK 10,000 (EUR 410) per academic year for the first 10 admitted applicants with at least 60% of the points achieved in the entrance examination, for the remaining applicants the amount is set at CZK 35,000 (EUR 1,440). The payment must be made immediately after admission but no later than on the day of enrolment.
Once paid, the tuition fee is returnable only after submitting the confirmation of visa denial issued by the authorized Embassy of the Czech Republic to the Department of Education at FEA (refunds on tuition fees will be deducted a EUR 30 processing fee).

Registration of Study
The student is obliged to appear on the day of registration at the Department of Education, which is set up for the first week of the academic year. In the event the student does not attend the registration of study without written excuse within 5 days, their studies will be terminated immediately.
Deferment of Study
It is not possible to apply for the deferment of study.
