Publication and research activities of Ms. Provazníková are focused on the field of multilevel public finances and fiscal policy. Research is oriented on the analysis and comparison of developing changes in financing of lower level tiers of government. Research is as well focused on the role of these units in the framework of public finances in the context of global changes: the influence and impact of economic activities of lower level tiers of government on the fiscal policy of central government. In this context is attention paid also to the quality of activities of lower levels of government, to the methods of evaluation of their activities and to the effective provision of public services. In the context of globalisation is interest paid also to the role of lower levels of government in affecting competitiveness of the region.
