eng	Approaches for the Comparison of the Quality of Life Investigation	The conference paper presents an analysis of two approaches (methods) in the quality of life (QL) research in the Czech Republic (CR) based on system approach. It concerns a comparison of methodological approaches, in the first case there is the Sociology Institute of the Academy of Sciences of CR, which realizes monthly research in a wide spectrum (political, economical, and social topics representatively) covering the opinions of the inhabitants of CR. The second case is concerning a project of the civic association Team Initiative for Local Sustainable Development, which is engaged in QL from the European Common Indicators point of view. Data sets with different attributes were expressed on the basis of two initiate approaches. The sets were used in classification models of ?Quality of life? and the models are based on decision trees. The classifier models on the basis of C5.0, CHAID, C&RT, and C5.0boosting algorithms were proposed and analysed.	comparison;regional management;quality of life;classification;decision trees
