Pavel Jirava was born in Hradec Kralove (CR) in 1975. Has received the Masters degree in economy, University of Pardubice, 1998, and PhD. degree in System Engineering and Informatics, University of Pardubice, 2007. From 2004 he is senior lecturer, from 2007 Assistant Professor at the University of Pardubice, Faculty of Economics and Administration. His principal research interests are soft computing, data mining, rough sets, their application in the area of public administration, sustainable development and related fields.
