Oba tyto typy procesů pochopitelně determinují chování ekonomických subjektů, tedy i malých a středních podniků. S ohledem na jejich podíl na celkovém počtu podniků v ekonomice a na dalších makroekonomických ukazatelích je nutné jim věnovat zvýšenou pozornost. Úspěšné fungování SME ovlivňuje ekonomické prostředí, v němž se pohybují, v neposlední řadě jejich ekonomické postavení v rámci tržních struktur či podpora, která jim je určena ze strany EU a jednotlivého státu. Na druhé straně nebývají vždy doceněny přínosy, které SME znamenají, nejen pro národní ekonomiku potažmo pro ekonomiku EU řízenou v duchu Lisabonské strategie , ale zejména pro samotný region, v němž SME operuje. Cílem příspěvku je ukázat na význam SME pro ekonomiku EU (pro Evropu regionů), na jejich postavení v rámci EU a v rámci české ekonomiky. Příspěvek prezentuje vybrané typy přínosů SME pro region a jejich teoretický fundament; soustřeďuje pozornost na model, znázorňující přínosy do regionu (NUTS V - obce, NUTS III - kraje) v návaznosti na rozpočtové určení daní v ČR. To prošlo v ČR v posledních 10 letech dvěma změnami, přesto však není situace stabilizována. eng	SMEs Benefits for Ecnonomy of Region	The integration processes in the European Union framework are achieved in the context of the worldwide globalization process. Surely, both these types of complex processes determine behaviour of economic subjects, it means as well behaviour of small and medium enterprises. In accordance with theirs rate in total number of enterprises in economy, as well in other macroeconomic indicators, is necessary to pay more attention them. Successful SMEs functioning is affected with economic environment, which they operate in, last but not least their economic position in the framework of market structures, and their support, which is given them from the EU and single national government. On the other hand, benefits that SMEs stand not only for national economy and for EU economy leaded in spirit of the Lisbon Strategy in all - , but namely for a single region, which a SME operates in. The aim of the paper is to point at the SMEs importance for EU economy (for Europe of regions), at their position in the EU framework, as well in the framework of the Czech economy. The paper presents chosen types of SEMs benefits for region, and their theoretical fundament; it pays attention on the model, which illustrative benefits into a region (NUTS V municipalities, NUTS III regions) in connection with budget determination of taxis in the Czech Republic. It changed twice in last 10 years; nevertheless, the situation is not stabilised.
