cze Hospodářský růst a emise NOx v postkomunistické zemi Díky nově dostupnému konzistentnímu historickému datovému souboru přispěje tento příspěvek k debatě o souvislosti mezi ekonomickým růstem a environmentální zátěží v případě postkomunistické země České republiky. Konkrétněji bude analýza testovat environmentální křivku Kuznets (EKC) na emise NOX mezi lety 1980 a 2015. Modelování dlouhodobých údajů však prokázalo pouze klesající fázi EKC, ale neprokázalo rostoucí fázi. Lze tedy předpokládat, že bod zlomu nastal dříve než ve sledovaném období. Politické a ekonomické transformační procesy v 90. letech však měly významný dopad na snižující se zátěž pro životní prostředí, pokud jde o NOX. eng Economic growth and NOx emissions in the post-communist country Due to the newly available consistent historical dataset, this paper will contribute to the debate on the link between economic growth and the environmental burden in case of the postcommunist country of the Czech Republic. More specifically, the analysis will test environmental Kuznets curve (EKC) for NOX emissions between 1980 and 2015. However, modelling on long-term data did only prove decreasing phase of EKC but did not show increasing phase. Therefore, it can be assumed that breaking point occurred earlier than in the monitored period.
