eng	The Use of Performance Measurement Techniques in Local Government	In the last 20 years, the academic and practitioner attention on performance measurement and management in public sector has dramatically increased. There is an increasing evidence of the positive impact of performance management on public sector organisations. However, the full potential of this phenomenon is not yet widely used and further research is still needed. Hence, the main focus of this paper is on how diverse performance management techniques are used in local government. The analysis using qualitative research method is performed in English and Czech local government.
