Z energetického hlediska je hlavní otázkou, jak využít sluneční energii co nejefektivněji. V současnosti jsou k zachcování sluneční energie a k její přeměně na elektrickou energii široce využívané fotovoltaické systémy. Uskladnění elektriciké energie je ale problematické. Řešením by mohla být přeměna sluneční energie na chemickou energii (jako vodík), která se snadněji skladuje. K tomuto účelu je nezbytné vytvořit efektivní umělý fotosyntetický systém. Takový systém není možné zkonstruovat bez detailní znalosti přirozených fotosyntetických systémů. Fotosyntézy začíná absorpcí slunečního fotonu pomocí světlosběrného (LH) pigment-proteinového komplexu a transportem excitační energie do reakčního centra, kde je iniciována separace náboje. Náš zájem je soustředěn na první (světelnou) fázi fotosyntézy v purpurových bakteriích. Geometrické struktury některých LH komplexů jsou detailně známy, např. pro komplexy LH2 a LH4 purpurových bakterií. Jsou studována absorpční a stacionární fluorescenční spektra realističtějšího komplexu LH4 (zahrnujícího všechny 3 prstence) a porovnána s našimi předchozími výsledky pro jednoduchý model LH4 (zahrnující pouze 1 prstenec). eng Modelling of Absorption and Fluorescence Spectra of Photosynthetic Complex Photosynthesis is the process by which green plants (or bacteria, algae, etc.) transform solar energy into chemical energy. From the energy point of view the major question is, how to use solar energy most effectively. Nowadays, photovoltaic systems are widely used to harvest solar energy and transform it into electricity. But the storage of electricity is problematic. The solution of this problem could be to convert solar energy into chemical energy as hydrogen, which is easier to store. For this purpose, it is necessary to construct an effective artificial photosynthetic system. Such system is not possible to be constructed without detailed knowledge of natural photosynthetic systems. Photosynthesis starts with absorption of a solar photon by the light-harvesting (LH) pigment-protein complex and transferring excitation energy to the reaction center where a charge separation is initiated. Our interest is focused on first (light) stage of photosynthesis in purple bacteria. Geometric structures of some LH complexes are known in detail, e.g. for the LH2 and LH4 complexes of purple bacteria. Absorption and steady state fluorescence spectra of more realistic LH4 complex (including all 3 rings) are investigated and compared with our previous results for simple LH4 model (including only 1 ring).
