eng	Methodology of Usability Evaluation of Web-based GIS Applications	The most of today’s problems are at least partly spatially-oriented. It means that decision-makers need appropriate software tools to analyze spatial data and visualize obtained results. They must be able to use these tools without having deep knowledge and skills in the GIS field. Usability is the only quality characteristics focused on software users and ability of software tools to efficiently meet user’s requirements. In the contribution, methodological notices are stated and a procedure of usability evaluation of Web-based GIS applications for casual end-users is proposed. The proposal is based on previous authors’ experience and obtained experimental results. The proposal takes into account specificity of this kind of applications. The proposed procedure includes both representatives of real users and experts. Resulting data are of a both qualitative and quantitative nature. Costs of usability evaluation are briefly mentioned too. An example of evaluation procedure is described as well.	Web-based GIS, Usability, Usability evaluation
