cze Suverénní fondy – hrozba nebo žádoucí investor? Cílem článku je posoudit význam relativně nového fenoménu na finančních trzích - suverénních fondů. Předkládaný článek vychází z definování pojmu a způsobů vzniku suverénních fondů, dále popisuje jejich historický vývoj a relativní význam v poměru k ostatním aktivům na finančních trzích. Zároveň stručně pojednává o investiční strategii suverénních fondů, včetně uvedení konkrétních investic – vlastnických podílů – suverénních fondů. Dále článek nastiňuje vliv suverénních fondů na světovou ekonomiku, včetně jejich zapojení při řešení problémů finanční krize. Důraz je kladen i na největší nedostatek suverénních fondů, a to na jejich transparentnost. eng Sovereign Wealth Funds - Threat or desired investor? The aim of this article is to assess the significance of a relatively new phenomenon in the financial markets - sovereign wealth funds. The presented article is based on defining the term and the ways of creation of sovereign wealth funds, describes the historical development and their relative importance in relation to other assets in the financial markets. It also briefly discusses the investment strategy of sovereign wealth funds, including the specific investments of sovereign wealth funds - ownership shares. The article also outlines the impact of sovereign wealth funds on the world economy, including their involvement in solving the problems of the financial crisis. Emphasis is put on the biggest problem of sovereign wealth funds - their transparency.
