eng Multiple Criteria Decision Making in an Environmental System This paper discusses an application of Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods of stakeholders for an assessment of proposed investment alternatives in a real environmental system. The methods use the criteria weights for alternative evaluation so that the weights express a differential importance among the criteria into the MCDM process. The criteria reflect economical, environmental and social aspects. First, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) makes use of hierarchical structure of the MCDM process and computes the best alternative on the basis of relative importance of all the criteria. Second, the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) uses the fuzzy logic for selection of an appropriate alternative. Third, the Fuzzy Subordination Relation (FSR) method optimises computing of an alternative selection on the basis of relative importance of selected criteria. Finally, we compare these methods with an example of selected sewage sludge final liquidation alternative in Prague Central Sewage Plants.
