eng Suitable Boundary in Authentication via Keystroke Dynamics A person?s identity verification became very important in information society. This article presents some results of our research of biometric authentication by keystroke dynamics. Keystroke dynamics authentication appears very suitable because it does not need a special hardware but only standard keyboard is necessary. This text is particularly focused on a problem of setting suitable boundary in the keystroke dynamics authentication. Biometric characteristics can never absolutely match to their relevant templates. For this reason the system analyst has to set the strictness of similarity between submitted biometric characteristics and relevant templates. Although this approach is used for keystroke authentication in this research, it is possible to use these principles for other kinds of biometric authentication as well.
