Holub chtěl při kolonizaci přispět jako lékař a badatel a přivést Afričany na cestu ke kultuře a civilizaci, což pokládal za hlavní úkol pro evropské koloniální mocnosti, neboť evropské vědecké modely a společenské systémy se mu zdály optimální. Afričané by se měli nechat Evropou vést, aby se stali tím, čím je Evropa. Holub se nikdy nechtěl dostat do služeb koloniálních mocností, jako badatel jim však - nevědomky - napomohl málo přístupné země objevit. eng	Doctor Emil Holub - Explorer or Colonizer?	Dr. Emil Holub was born on 7th October 1847 in Holice. He set out on three experimental expeditions to Africa and gathered a large collection of animals, fossils, minerals, trophies and presents from the natives within his colonization activities. As a doctor and an explorer he wanted to contribute to the civilization of Africa according to the European model. He declared the European model to be optimal for the next development of Africa with the aim of reaching to the European scientific, cultural and social level. He did not want to do for colonization powers, but despite of this fact he helped them to discover many white speckles on the map of Africa. Therefore he was not only a famous and a well-travelled explorer, but also a crazy idealist in his nature.	Africa;colonization;Doctor Emil Holub;exploration;regions
