Description:
Business management needs to change firms' strategies to perform innovation, respond to different kinds of change, be prepared to accept new ways to achieve business goals such as networking, collaborating, new innovative concepts such as open innovation. This creates a new business model innovation to incorporate an open innovation approach into firms´ strategies. There is a very small number of systematic studies that focus on the revision of business models in the direction of incorporating open innovation principles, taking account of the dynamics of individual elements and emphasizing their knowledge base. It is necessary to conduct systematic research on the development of a business model that will be based on open innovation principles and knowledge-based cooperation (in the context of the convergence framework). The design of such a model also requires exploring determinants from the business (innovation) environment to match the real needs of management in today's firms. The new proposal will be verified empirically.
