The entrance examination is written and is comprised of two tests related to:

Test in Mathematics – Content:
1. Rules of arithmetic and algebra
Use of formulas (a ± b)n, an – bn, when n = 2, 3. Factorizing of a quadratic trinomial; completing of a quadratic trinomial to a square. Operating with polynomials; operating with fractions. Rules for counting with powers with a real exponent. Root as a special case of power.
2. Algebraic equation
Linear equations, a system of two simultaneous linear equations, quadratic equations, irrational equations, equations with binomial coefficients leading to algebraic equations. Practical tasks.
3. Inequality
Linear inequality, quadratic inequality, inequality with an absolute value, systems of mentioned inequalities.
4. Function and its graph
Exponential, logarithmical, goniometrical equation (application of the rules of indices, logarithms, and basic goniometrical formulas).
5. Transcendental equation
Exponential, logarithmical, goniometrical equation (application of the rules of indices, logarithms, and basic goniometrical formulas).
6. Plane analytic geometry
Properties of lines and curves in the xy-plane. Parallel lines, perpendicular lines, a point and a line. Circle, ellipse, hyperbola, parabola. Mutual positions of two lines, a line and a circle, a line and conic sections.
Test in English - Content:
Reading and comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, a cloze test.
Note: The test focuses on general knowledge of the language without a special emphasis on vocabulary from the area of economics and informatics. It is a multiple choice test where only one answer to a particular question is correct.
