If you care about your community and look for a job with an impact, the Public Administration programme is the right choice for you. You will learn how public administration and public authorities work and gain an insight into public budgets. You will also be able to plan development projects and effectively administer public property. In a nutshell, you will get the knowledge and skill set necessary to create and implement ideas that will help thousands of people around you.

What will you learn?

You will acquire knowledge necessary to deal with economic or similar tasks in the public sector; the fields covered include economics, public administration, marketing, accounting and administrative law as well as the use of IT and software for organizational and analytic jobs and activities. You will also learn to present the results of your work.

Careers

As a graduate, you will be able to work at finance departments of local and regional authorities, or regional branch offices of specialized authorities. You may also look for jobs in finance departments in the private sector. It is up to you to choose a career. What we can guarantee, however, is your expertise. If you also apply for the Master’s programme, you will learn how public policies are made, and thus become an ideal candidate for key economic positions at one of the ministries.

You will be able to deal with threat prevention, be a corporate crisis manager and restart a company facing a crisis. As a graduate, you will be prepared for crisis management in public administration, management of the integrated rescue system or corporate crisis management. You may asses the risk profile of investments and clients in banks or insurance companies. After finishing the BA programme, you may also opt for the MA programme that will enable you to work on managerial positions.

Do you wonder why we pay taxes, or how tax revenues are distributed? Would you like to learn more about individual types of taxes and be able to calculate them? Would you like to gain a better insight into tax proceedings and learn how taxes are collected, what a tax audit is and how back taxes are enforced? Would you like to understand how tax administration and other public authorities work? If yes, the Tax Administration pathway is the right choice for you.

What will you learn?

You will learn all you ever wanted to know about taxes. You will learn to calculate taxes, check your tax return and understand financial statements. You will be able to distinguish between expenses that are tax-relevant and those that are not, you will be proficient in tax allowances. You will also have an understanding of public and regional finances and budgets as well as financial analysis. The study also includes a traineeship with tax authorities that will help you with that.

Careers

As a graduate, you will have no difficulties in finding a job with a tax authority or other local or regional authorities, where you will be responsible for administrative proceedings. You may also approach the taxes from the taxpayer’s perspective and work in a tax advisor’s office or in corporate finance departments. Naturally, you may also complete the MA programme and thus be able to do more specialized work and get a prestigious job at the General Financial Directorate or in corporate top management.

Do you practise sport and want a university degree? Why not combine the two and study a programme at our faculty that approaches sport from the economic perspective. Money moves the sports world and that is why you may be interested in the Regional Sport Economics programme that will teach you how to apply for funding and subsidies for your club, how to allocate the funding, or how to organize and manage sports competitions and clubs.

What will you learn?

You will learn everything about sports funding from preparing budges to checking the books. You will be able to decide on subsidy allocation, be in charge of financial management of a sports club. You will also gain an insight into the management of sports venues. You will be able to organize sports training, camps and tournaments. You will also learn to assess and analyse performance of athletes and sports teams.

Careers

You will be an economist specializing in regional sport. You may work as an economist in regional or higher public authorities that are responsible for the allocation of sport subsidies and sport management. You may also work as a manager in a sports club or association, and at relevant departments of public authorities.. Alternatively, you can start your own business and advise on how to draw sports subsidies, or organize sport activities or self-awareness courses.

What will you learn?

You will learn all you need in terms of critical thinking and innovative solutions to business administration issues. You will be able to plan, do calculations, statistical analyses and evaluations in addition to having an understanding of law, accounting and psychology. You will learn how to be a team leader and how to manage investments. The pathway includes four main fields: economics and applied economic fields, management, IT (including mathematics and statistics) and other courses including law or foreign languages.

Careers

As a graduate, you may find a job in the business sector or in an NGO. What will we teach you?

You will be able to obtain, process, evaluate and analyse financial and economic information, and base your decisions on them both in your professional and personal life. You will learn to work in a team, will understand real situations in the financial markets and you will be able to deal with them comprehensively. At the same time, you will learn a foreign language, use information and accounting systems and you will be able to apply basic legal regulations. You will gain practical experience thanks to an internship during the study and the fact that we practise the acquired knowledge and skills throughout the study on real-life examples.

What will you be?

After successful completion of your studies, you will work mainly in lower and middle management positions in insurance companies, banks, pension funds, leasing companies or as an investment intermediary. You will also be able to work in financial and economic positions in companies. At the same time, you will have the knowledge needed for subsequent Master's studies in the same or a similar program.
